I also added camu camu berry powder to the smoothie. This superfood is a concentrated source of vitamin C providing 12 times the recommended daily intake (RDI) in 1 teaspoon.

Hemp seeds are a great source of fibre and essential fatty acids that defend against inflammatory and autoimmune disorders. However, I like to add hemp seeds to bump up the amount of protein in a smoothie. Hemp seeds contain all 20 amino acids, including the 8 essential amino acids that our body cannot produce. You’ll receive 10g of protein in just 2 tablespoons of hemp seeds!
Green Strawberry Hemp Smoothie Ingredients:
1 cup spinach, tightly packed
1 cup strawberries with tops
2 tablespoons hemp seeds
1 teaspoon camu camu berry powder (optional)
1 cup water*
In a high-speed blender, combine all ingredients until smooth.
*I used 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup ice since I wasn’t using any frozen fruits. Use at least one frozen item to keep your smoothie cool.
